Renel Fredriksen is a software engineering and training consultant. She has extensive experience in Visual Basic, Java, and C++.

Renel began her career with Wang Laboratories, working on the Wang Word Processor and later its distributed operating system. She spent eight years with Digital Equipment Corporation in its Educational Services Division as an instructor, training manager, and product manager.

Since leaving Digital, Renel has worked as a software engineer and training consultant for leading corporations throughout the United States. She has developed courseware and delivered instruction in multiple disciplines while keeping her hands dirty by continuing to develop applications for national clients. In 1995, Renel founded Grace Technology Institute, Inc., a publisher of software training materials.

She has taught undergraduate computer science at Boston University, Northeastern University, and the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She is versatile in languages, operating systems, and application development.

Renel holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Boston University (Summa cum Laude) and a Masters in Education (Mid-Career Math and Science) from Harvard University.
