Seshadri Gokul is a solution system and support specialist with Reuters. He specializes in system design, architecture, and development of n-tier distributed middleware applications.

With a degree in engineering and an MBA, he has around 8+ years of industry experience. His career in various organizations took him through several enterprise-scale projects in the areas of business process management, electronic banking, online share trading, and real-time transactions, straight through processing, enterprise data warehousing, and production/supply-chain management.

His technical expertise includes server-side Java 2 Enterprise edition (J2EE) technologies, application servers such as BEA Web logic/IBM Web sphere, business process management tools, UML and TIBCO-/JMS-based messaging-oriented middleware systems.

He has authored several articles on contemporary server-side technologies in various IT magazines and portals, such as InformIT, Voice and Data, CIOL, and The DQ Week. He has presented J2EE technical sessions at the Wrox developer conferences on Java.

In a previous life, Gokul was a multimedia specialist and has written 100+ articles, authored many multimedia CD ROM projects, and written a book on multimedia technologies entitled Multimedia Magic, published by BPB Publications.

Gokul adores classical music, Zen Buddhism, and South Indian archaeology.
