Capstone Updates its Java Web Applications Suite

Capstone Courseware today releases updates to its servlets, JSP, and JSTL courses. We're always soliciting feedback on our products, and with these updates we're taking our customers up on several key suggestions:

  • Simpler classroom setup thanks to bundling of most supporting tools with the lab software. To wit, Tomcat, Ant, and MySQL setups are no longer the responsibility of the classroom coordinator or individual student; they are now deployed automatically.
  • JSP and JSTL materials are easier to use in the classroom. We now pre-compile supporting Java classes, so that most examples are testable right out of the box.
  • All courses now sport full Eclipse WTP overlays, including full support for coding, building, deploying, testing, and debugging within the Eclipse IDE.
