Web Development with Java EE 7

Capstone Courseware announces a major update to its flagship Java EE course Developing Java Web Applications. The course now treats Java EE 6 and Java EE 7 practices, including:

  • Servlets 3 and the annotation-based servlet component model
  • JavaServer Pages 2.3 and Expression Language 3.0
  • JPA2
  • Contexts and Dependency Injection, or CDI
  • The new Java Web Sockets API
Tomcat 7, GlassFish 4, JBoss 7.1.1 Using new standards, see below

We are making three pre-tested variants of the course available immediately, to support some of the most commonly used open-source servers:

This is also the first public course release that takes advantage of our new lab standards for portability and ease of use. Most compellingly, this new release comes pre-tested on both Windows and Mac, and comes with a pre-built workspace to allow all exercises to run "out of the box" on Eclipse Kepler for Java EE Developers.

All three variants of Developing Java Web Applications, version 7.0, are available for immediate use.
