Expanded REST/JAX-RS Course

As interest in REST web services continues to grow, Capstone has released an updated and expanded course on using the JAX-RS standard to build those services. "Developing RESTful Services in Java" now offers chapters on ...

  • JAX-RS strong support for sub-resources, and a generic framework for organizing collection and instance resources into a re-usable, extensible REST system
  • Testing, using the Jersey test framework to cover not just method code but the JAX-RS annotations that are so critical to the proper functioning of a RESTful resource

We've also taken the opportunity to bring the course up to date with modern REST style, and have cut back on some of the JAXB content in order to focus on these more advanced topics while working more heavily with JSON payloads.

Version 2.0.1 of the course is available immediately.
