Jakarta Struts Project, Version 1.1

If the course you are setting up requires Struts 1.1, follow these instructions to set it up on the student and instructor machines. If you have questions, please contact your courseware vendor.

The binary download for Struts 1.1 is located at:

http://archive.apache.org/dist/jakarta/struts/binaries/jakarta-struts-1.1.zip

After downloading, unpack the entire contents of the archive into a new directory anywhere on the machine; on Windows systems, extracting right to the c:\ root is a common practice, since everything is contained in a root directory jakarta-struts-1.1. We also suggest renaming the top-level directory to something simpler, such as Struts. Wherever you install it, this root directory is the Struts home, and an environment variable STRUTS_HOME must be created with this path as its value.
